当社の調香師について

Yusuke Masuda is originally from Mishima City in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, where he grew up at the foot of Mount Fuji. He got into perfumery because he felt a deep connection with the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship — the pursuit of precision, sensitivity, and beauty in every detail. He began his training in perfumery at l’ASFO in Grasse, where he studied for two years.

Yusuke’s artistic style as a perfumer could be described as a balance between quiet elegance and emotional clarity. He is drawn to compositions that feel refined yet expressive, with a transparent structure that allows each material to breathe.

Some of his favorite raw materials to work with are rose, and modern musks, which he often uses to bring both softness and depth to his creations.

Yusuke is delighted to share elements of his Japanese culture through the scents he has created for Kosui.

増田湧介は、日本の静岡県三島市出身で、富士山の麓で育ちました。
彼が調香の道に進んだのは、日本の職人精神――細部へのこだわり、繊細さ、そして美しさを追求する姿勢――に深く通じるものを感じたからでした。
その後、フランス・グラースの l’ASFO にて2年間、本格的に調香を学びます。

調香師としての湧介の作風は、「静かなエレガンス」と「感情の透明度」が調和したスタイルと言えるでしょう。素材ひとつひとつが呼吸する余白を大切にしながら、洗練されつつも豊かな表情を持つ香りを追求しています。

彼が特に好んで扱う原料はローズやモダンムスクで、作品に柔らかさと奥行きをもたらす主要な要素となっています。

湧介は、Kosui のために手がけた香りを通して、自身の日本文化の一端を皆さまに伝えられることを心から嬉しく思っています。
